The next day I departed Planet Ytts to search for the Vastog former marquis turned pirate mother and child.
First I headed to the asteroid belt cities in orbit of star Odyud mentioned by both the fortune teller and Gonzalez.
Asteroid belt cities are asteroid homes and such remodeled to be livable gathered together in an asteroid belt nicknamed for the area.
Unlike the [Mining Town] at Planet Negora focused on ships and colonies, this has remodeled asteroids as the main body, around 10 times the scale, with numerous ships docked, an ideal hiding spot, and closest among the sighting locations.
I decided to head to the largest asteroid first.
This massive asteroid called [Central Rock] is the center of the asteroid belt city, lined with various shops, offices, hotels, public facilities.
Such places exist everywhere, inevitable where people live.
Incidentally, while once illegal, now it’s legal so proper addresses exist. But still an ideal spot for criminals to lay low.
After docking at [Central Rock], I headed to the downtown district.
Last time I found them by checking the adult industry, but based on what the fortune teller said, the son may have a woman companion now so hopes there are slim.
For info gathering, I first went to the go-to spot – bars.
But with the public facilities, there was no seedy atmosphere.

The Hotchkolds last time were exactly that, but can’t assume the same here. Still worth looking into though.
So first I’ll check the high-end lodgings.
But they’ll have solid security, won’t show guest registers to strangers, so how to investigate is an issue.
The only option may be contacting Gonzalez to check registers. Costly but probably best. I’ll pick places the ex-marquis might choose before asking.
If that fails, next will be residences. I’ll check the spacious looking asteroid homes.
If I were the protagonist, the target would conveniently come to me, getting a grand reception from the guild after resolving it in a day I bet.
Thinking such things, I ate the yakitori I ordered and sipped oolong tea.
