“Hmm hmm…… When I searched, a bulletin board that thoughtfully compiled everything came up.”
Saku-senpai, operating her laptop, explained the sequence of events.
The account in question originally just monotonously tweeted daily complaints, but they were strangely sharp-tongued and scheming. Using vocabulary unbecoming of a high school girl to curse friends and teachers, it had quietly gained popularity, but at this point still had fewer than a thousand followers.
One day, when criticized by someone outside their follow circle as [old man’s delusion] [even if it’s a woman, she’s ugly], she uploaded an R-15 selfie in the flow of refuting. While it proved she was a current high school girl, she continued to regularly upload similar photos afterward, and her fame accelerated exponentially.
At first, there were many localized photos of chest-legs areas (still quite risqué), but recently she’s been uploading full-body shots from the mouth down, and even photos with just the eye area hidden.
Probably to prevent identification, she used wigs to change hair color each time. But gradually, dangerous people trying to identify the school name and address began to appear.
“I see…… Since she was posting quite openly about daily life, it seems identification was just a matter of time even before the photos. Coeducational, blazer uniform, regular course, outside Tokyo’s 23 wards, near a large station where Keio Line express trains stop…… that much remains in the posts, but anything beyond that seems to have been deleted.”
“Yes, you can’t see it now. But there was a guy in the soccer club who had screenshots, so it’s fact that our school’s name came up. According to him, it was already confirmed and they were moving to identify the individual’s name…… Even so, the person keeps provoking anti-fans, so it’s all heated up and escalated into a mud fight.”
“……I wonder what everyone finds fun about doing that.”
Shishihara looks away, muttering, “That’s so stupid.” I completely agree.
“Takizawa… I can hardly believe it, but…”
“Hm? What is it?”
“You don’t seriously expect us to find this girl before the netizens do, then pompously lecture her with stuff like ‘Stop this nonsense’ or ‘Delete your entire account, it’s dangerous,’ and just neatly wrap everything up… You’re not about to spout such ridiculous nonsense, are you?”
“Ohh, exactly right!”
Takizawa clicks his fingers, as if to say “This’ll be quick.” He doesn’t seem to realize how absurd he sounds.
“From my fairly extensive network, this rumor isn’t staying in niche circles anymore—it’s spreading. If we leave it alone, teachers’ll hear about it for sure.”
“Yeah, probably.”
“Once she’s identified, it won’t be a simple warning. Don’t you think that’s kinda pitiful?”
“Self-inflicted. She got what she deserved.”
“Come on, you can’t be serious!” Takizawa groans, throwing his arms up. Saku-senpai mutters, “Knew you’d say that.”
“If this girl gets expelled… or even if she doesn’t, if this spreads around school, she’ll transfer for sure.”
“I don’t really feel sympathy for some random person I don’t even know.”
“But what if she’s someone you know? A club member, a childhood friend, a secretly admired senpai? If someone like that suddenly disappeared from school one day… I’d be pretty upset.”
“…”
“So I want to do everything possible to make sure that doesn’t happen. Not that anyone like you would get that, right, Komori?”
Here he goes, waxing poetic about morality, of all things. I know it’s just hypothetical.
“…Takizawa, are you actually a decent guy?”
Shishihara’s been swayed. As always, she’s too trusting.
“Yeah, I’m a total sweetheart! Rescuing girls in trouble’s my favorite thing, even more than eating three meals a day! Especially a girl like this, with thighs so thick and jiggly from wearing those gym shorts… If I do her a favor, maybe she’ll let me get a little… frisky with her, y’know?”
“Ahh, never mind—he’s just a terrible guy.”
“Liar liar! I’m joking! I get turned on by little kids’ bodies too, actually… Oh hey, Maon-chan! Now that I think about it, you’ve gotta be careful since your chest is so flat. You flash your bra all the time without even realizing it! Though honestly, the guys are all happy you don’t watch out for it! Right, Komori-ii? Right?”
“…Sorry, could you just die? Please?”
Shishihara adjusts her collar protectively, glaring with pure disdain. Takizawa, though, just laughs it off like it’s fuel. Seriously, if you’re going to die, do it alone and stop dragging me down with you.
“In that case, shall we all agree to take on Takizawa-kun’s request?”
Saku-senpai declares, as if closing a vote. She probably saw this coming from the start.

“Before it blows up, we just need to find this troubled girl ourselves.”
“…We can try, but I don’t think it’ll be that simple.”
Our school has over a thousand students. Even if we narrow it down to girls, that’s still about five hundred.
“But like, if we focus on second-years, I probably know most of them. If I check the posts, I might recognize someone.”
Shishihara scrolls through her phone, as Takizawa chimes in, “Ooh, you’re reliable!”
“Then Shishihara can handle our grade. I’ve got a habit of… uh, let’s say ‘chatting up’ upperclassmen. I know their faces, names, and a few… key measurements.”
“Got it. She claimed to be a high schooler last year, so she’s probably not a freshman… and this photo shows half her face. If she’s got a great face and body, that narrows it down. I feel like I’ve seen her before, but not sure… Ugh, can’t tell.”
“If it really was Mu, we’d have it easy, but she probably just ‘claimed’ to be a student. In my opinion, she’s quiet, unassuming in class, the type who’s secretly hot—maybe a glasses girl with hidden curves.”
“……That’s just your fantasy, Takizawa.”
Shishihara glares, but it’s not such a wild guess if she’s doing this to vent stress. When you think about it, the suspect pool’s way smaller than five hundred.
“We’ll let those two handle the ‘public’ investigation.”
Click clack ka-tan! Saku-senpai dramatically types on her laptop.
“I’ll dig into some… ‘restricted’ areas. Hehehehe.”
I sigh—when will she outgrow the chuunibyou middle-school syndrome? Still, she’s got shady connections beyond the stolen shogi board. The club’s computers, routers—she insists they were all ‘freely given.’ Suspicious as hell.
A thousand hands make light work. Who knew we’d form such a capable team? Meanwhile, I’m clearly the most useless.
“A girl with looks, a great figure, and in her second or third year…”
For someone like me, who barely knows anyone, only Maihama comes to mind. But she’d never do something this stupid. Still, I pretend to work by scrolling through the account on my phone.
” ………… “
A casual post caught my eye. It was dated last Friday.
[○○○’s new group card is so cute! Maybe I’ll go check it out tomorrow.]
○○○ is a shop in Shinjuku, one I recognize.
Coincidentally, Maihama was heading to Shinjuku (probably) dressed up on Saturday.
The only clue was that one thing. Since there was no post the next day, there was no way to confirm whether the account owner had actually gone to that shop.
“…No way, right?”
With nothing better to do, I kept swiping through the screen. I checked the uploaded photos one by one—focusing only on the ones where clothing was visible—but I had zero interest in women or fashion, to the point where I couldn’t even remember a classmate’s casual outfit after seeing it just once.
—It kinda looks the same, but maybe not. Maybe it’s just similar.
It felt like I’d never get an answer, but before long, I reached a conclusion.
A photo showing off a brand-new designer bag. I didn’t recognize the bag itself, but what caught my attention was the keycase next to it. When I zoomed in, I saw what looked like a character—or maybe a small animal—hand-stitched onto the surface, likely homemade.
“…………”
“What’s up, Komori-kun?”
“Shishihara… do you know what animal this is?”
“Hmm… Oh, that’s a degu, right? Super cute, these guys. Apparently, they’re way friendlier than hamsters if you keep ’em as pets.”
Right. I’m pretty sure she mentioned owning one too.
“Gonna hit the bathroom.”
Muttering to no one in particular, I lowered my head and left the clubroom.
