Alice, her face scarlet, managed to say it without stumbling.
Once emotionally stunted in love (kindergarten level), she’d trained with me to reach middle-school proficiency.
The struggle to break her habit of formal address was a nostalgic memory.
I was fully prepared to train my child in swordsmanship—but Ran turned out to be a brilliant mage-type, leaving her with boundless energy to spare. And guess who bears the brunt of that energy? Yours truly.
Meanwhile, Yueri remains a top-tier, internationally recognized mechanical engineer, tirelessly working her magic in the territory’s workshop today.
She’s only absent because she’s busy teaching the next generation at the academy she founded.
“Alright, kids. Papa’s got work to do—time to wrap it up.”
“Aww, nooo! We wanna play more! We never get to see you!”
Togo clings to my arm, shaking his head vigorously.
Mashiro shoots me a helpless glance, so I gently address the treasures in my arms:
“Sorry, everyone. Papa’s got responsibilities right now. Playtime’s gotta wait.”
“…Really not allowed? Father…?”
“Tell you what—when I get back, I’ll grant any wish you have. So, what’ll it be?”
Their eyes sparkle in unison.
“…Really anything?”
“Of course, if it’s within Papa’s power.”
“Um, uh—”
“Father!”
“Hmm? Miyuki, you’ve already decided?”
“Yes! I want to sleep with Mother and you tonight—all three of us!”
“Ha! That’s all? Sure, we’ll snuggle up tonight.”
“Hehe… thank you!”
“Papa! I wanna play! A ton—like, a mega-ton!”
“You got it, Togo. We’ll go wild from dawn till dusk when I’m back.”
“Yeah! I’ll plan everything!”
“Ouga-Papa… I learned a new spell recently. Wanna see…?”
“Whoa! Impressive, Mitsuki! You might be a genius like your papa and mom~”
“Mufu~”
Every request is unbearably adorable.
Their tiny, earnest faces make me want to fulfill them all.
At five or six years old, their wishes are pure and simple.
The mothers smile fondly as they listen.
“Ran, what’s your wish? It’s okay if you need time to think.”
“…N-no. I’ve decided. Um, well…”
She fidgets with her fingers.
I nod and wait slowly until she can say it at her own pace.
Eventually making up her mind, she spins her request in a faltering voice.
“I… want a little brother or sister.”
——The room temperature plummets.
The once-cozy atmosphere turns arctic.
The source?
The four women behind the kids, smiling with eyes devoid of warmth.
“…A child’s wish must be granted, Ouga.”
“A sibling, huh? The kids are well-behaved now… Why not four more at once?”
“Ah, tonight’s the three-person sleepover, isn’t it, darling?”
“My, my… Ouga-kun will have to work hard.”
Ran’s wish flips a switch. Their gazes lock onto me like predators cornering prey.
…Our marital harmony is excellent.
They always defer to me as head of the household—
except in one scenario.
It traces back to our wedding night.
I knew this world had… expectations for newlyweds.
But as a virgin, my nerves got the better of me.
By the time I hesitated, they’d already restrained me. That night, they took the reins—and never let go.
In the Vellet household, they rule the nights.
Ran’s wish? A death sentence for my stamina.
“…Father… no good?”
“…No. I’ll make it happen. Papa’ll try his best.”
How could I refuse my sweet daughter?

The pact is sealed.
“Ouga-kun~?”
“Ouga…?”
“Ouga-kun?”
“…Ouga-sama.”
Mashiro, Karen, Reina, and Alice—their voices drip with the same hunger from that night.
“…Alright! Let’s play tag with Mama too! Everyone, run from Papa~!”
“Huh!? Really!? Yay~!”
“We’ll play so much!”
“C’mon, Ran! Let’s go~!”
“…Mm!”
“I’ll count to 100—ready?”
[“Yeaaah!”]
Their laughter fades as they scatter.
Now, it’s just us adults.
“Doting on Miyuki’s fine… but don’t forget about us.”
Karen grips my hand.
Alice latches onto my other arm.
“I, too… cannot live without Ouga-sama’s love.”
“Indeed. You must take full responsibility—love us every second.”
Reina drapes over my shoulders.
“We love you too, Ouga-kun!”
Mashiro crashes into me frontally.
My whole of me is claimed by their love.
“…Past 100 now.”
“Huh?”
“Caught all four of you.”
I pull them close.
“…Fufu. We’re caught…”
They return the embrace.
This future isn’t what I envisioned… but with adorable kids and beloved wives, it’s not half bad.
—For now, I’ll savor this Saint’s Life, born from a misunderstanding.

Afterword
Good morning-afternoon-evening-boobies (for the last time)!
Everyone, it’s been a while, I’m Kinome!
[The Misunderstood Saintly Life of a Villainous Scion], which has reached its second anniversary since release, concludes with this fifth volume. There’s so much I want to write in this afterword that I might run out of pages, but first, let me say this loud and clear.
Thank you for staying with me all this time, from the first volume released in April two years ago until today when you’ve finished reading the fifth volume!
Without the existence of readers who purchased this work, I couldn’t have continued publishing these volumes.
The fact that I was able to publish up to five volumes is entirely thanks to all of you. Once again, I express my gratitude.
When I first received the offer to publish this as a book, I actually only had plans up to the second volume in my mind (since it was a story I started writing because I wanted to write Reina’s episode).
So, squeezing my brain like a dishcloth to create the stories for volumes three through five is an experience that will become an asset for my future. There were times when I couldn’t think of anything and spent about an hour glaring at the screen, haha.
Even so, the fact that I was able to weave their story like this was thanks to my editor who consulted with me on the developments, everyone who sent their impressions on social media…… I truly think that no matter how you look at it, I couldn’t have completed this alone.
The illustrator, Herigaru-sensei, drew wonderful illustrations every time, sometimes enhancing the lovey-dovey scenes with the cute heroines, and sometimes the intense battle scenes with the power of his art.
The manga adaptation artist, Senjo-sensei, is also drawing [The Misunderstood Saintly Life of a Villainous Scion] with a different charm from the original (the serialization continues even after the release of volume five!).
Proofreaders, designers, printing companies. The story of [The Misunderstood Saintly Life of a Villainous Scion] exists because of the support of many people.
Being able to complete Ouga and everyone’s story, filled with the thoughts of so many people, is my pride.
With this pride in my heart, I would like to write a new world different from [The MMisunderstood Saintly Life of a Villainous Scion].
I hope to meet all of you again in my next story.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much!
With reluctance, I bid farewell.
—Kinome
TLNOTE : It’s really ended for real……
It’s truly evident that this novel series is exceptionally enjoyable, and I’m having an absolutely delightful time translating it. That’s precisely why I’ll complain instead in this final TL NOTE.
IT’S DAMN TOO SHORT!!!! I don’t like how quickly Ouga accepted his role as the saint!!! The story could have continued for several more volumes if Kinome-sensei had expanded more on the Misunderstood Villainous Scion parts. Yet the series ultimately focused more on The Saintly Life aspects. Although the afterword explains why it developed this way, looking back, it’s actually obvious how the story’s tone shifted beginning from volume 3.
That’s all from me. Thank you very much to all the readers who read my shitty translation of this fun novel series. If you discover another similar novel and want me to translate it, please leave comments in the translation request page.
See you again in another time and another place.
