Mospitza’s Fate
In the midst of the victory celebration banquet.

Lieutenant Mospitza crept along, holding his breath. He entered the dimly lit prison and tried to quietly slip something he was holding into the pocket of the sleeping guard when a voice came:

He shuddered and turned to see Colonel Lorentzo standing there.
“L- Colonel. No, this is, well…”
“…Don’t tell me.”
Colonel Lorentzo muttered and confiscated the object in Mospitza’s hand.
“You…were a spy for the Diode Duchy?”
“N-No! A m-misunderstanding! A m-m-m-misunderstanding!”
“Then what is this key!?”
“Hih…Th-Th-That’s…”
“Is something the matter?”
“…!”
At that moment,
the black-haired youth appeared from behind.

Colonel Lorentzo immediately left the guard room and hurried away. Meanwhile, Hazen calmly looked down at the stunned Lieutenant Mospitza.

As the small man laughed spitting out foam in triumph, Hazen slowly approached him.
“You’re lucky. I’m glad I had you as my subordinate.”
“Ihi…Ihihi…Huh?”
“If you didn’t move as I intended, I would have had to let you escape myself.”
“Wh-Wh-What nonsense are you spewing!?”
“I’m not so foolish as to not know your moves. I knew everything about your snitching.”
“Huggh…L-L-Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar! LiarLiarLiarLiar! L-Lllllllllllieieieieieieieie…”
“…..”
Hazen grabbed Lieutenant Mospitza’s hair and stared at him with jet-black eyes.
“Aren’t you glad? Since you’re a high-ranking noble, you probably won’t get the death penalty. From now on, work hard as a fine high-class slave, the plaything for some high noble. As your former superior, I’ll cheer you on from the sidelines.”
“Hah…Guh…Higuh…Aaaa…Aaaaaaaaaaaaa, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
With an unnaturally beautiful, yet disturbingly distorted smile, Hazen left the sobbing Mospitza behind.
