Soon after that, even though I was released by the general, I ended up staying overnight at the spaceport because I had a little alcohol, which I don’t normally drink.
The next morning, as expected, nothing happened, so instead of using the gate I came in through, I took a roundabout route through several cheaper gates to eventually make my way back to Planet Ytts.
Since it was my base planet, I didn’t dock at the spaceport but landed my ship at the mercenary guild’s parking area. Without stopping by reception, I went straight home and took a good long nap.
When I woke up, I did my cleaning and took out the trash as I usually do when I get home from a job, then considered going to the bathhouse I went to before, Relaxation Health Land.
I could get breakfast there too, and most of all, heal the fatigue from work.
So when I arrived at Relaxation Health Land, I went into the bath first before breakfast.
The showers on the ship and my bath at home aren’t bad, but they can’t compare to this spacious bath.
Unlike last time, I didn’t run into the old man Bernard, and enjoyed the bath and breakfast leisurely by myself.
After the bath and breakfast, I would usually go to Animember and shop around, but this time I thought I’d go to the movies instead and headed to the nearby Cinema Dudeme multiplex.
The most interesting looking movies playing now seemed to be:

The epic action Revenging Ogre
The romantic comedy manga adaptation Reversed Queen’s Tribulations
They all looked pretty interesting, but for now I decided to see Revenging Ogre which had the shortest runtime until the next showing.
The story was about an armed group suddenly arriving on a planet ruled by the horned race and massacring everyone except the young women and children. Then they took away all the planet’s valuable resources and cultural artifacts that were worthwhile to the invaders, along with the young women and children.
In that situation, the only young horned boy (about 17 years old) who survived by chance infiltrated the armed group’s base, and sought revenge against the wolf and gorilla beastmen, the vulture birdman, and the human leader.
It was a typical plot, but it had some interesting gimmicks and was pretty entertaining overall.
After the movie ended, as I was wandering around wondering what to do for lunch, a loud voice suddenly rang out.
“Right now! The Empire is greatly weakened! Now is the time! All colonized nations must rise up and bring down the Empire! Take back your original way of life and countries!”
It seemed to be that group I saw before.
In fact, with the massive purge of nobles who opposed the Emperor, it led to many people being liberated from tyranny.
Taking advantage of that, they seemed to be advocating for the liberation of the colonies.
However, some wanted independence but didn’t have the economic power, or relied on food imports from other sectors, so it wasn’t simple.
There were also some who wanted to avoid independence because they thought war with the rebel forces would be inevitable, and there had been conflicts before.
While this group and their claims had been overlooked to some extent before the war with the rebel forces, now in the tense post-war state, they were firmly being cracked down on.

At times like this, it’s best to just move away quickly so as not to get caught up in it.

Nicknamed the “Sea of Rock Pillars,” this planet with one massive continent and rich, beautiful oceans is the site of the preliminary round for this Planet Race Grand Prix.
Rock pillars with thicknesses ranging from a minimum of 30cm to a maximum of 50m, and lengths ranging from a minimum of 1cm to a maximum of 10,000m, are chaotically scattered across the continent of this planet in what seems like an infinite amount. Scholars still have not determined why this occurred.
While natural phenomena like pillars fracturing and falling do occur, it is a safe area without any vicious native organisms.
However, with the succession of rock pillars, your sense of direction goes awry, and without a compass – no, even with a compass – you would get lost in this natural maze.
Flying through the gaps in these rock pillars makes this course one where selecting a flight path and quick judgment are tested, simple yet straining a pilot’s true skill.
In the waiting room right before the race there, I was meditating to sharpen my mind for the race.

The owner/leader flashed a thumbs up with a refreshing yet oppressive air.
This means…he knows I have a mission coming up and bet on someone else.
Even though related parties are prohibited from betting…

No way am I losing to slower opponents than unmoving rocks and John Uzosu.
