Her Majesty’s Command Volume 2 Chapter 2 part 1

Chapter 2: The Decisive Battle is on Friday

Friday seemed a bit bewildered by her first time at school, but she gradually started to blend in.

Friday attending classes; Friday playing volleyball in her gym clothes; Friday cleaning the classroom after school.

She also seemed to have learned that girls hug each other often, because whenever break time rolled around, she would hug the girls she’d befriended for no particular reason.

And, whenever there was something she didn’t understand, she came to me.

“Madarame-san, what is homeroom?”

“Madarame-san, should I raise my hand more … Read the rest

In a slightly charred state, I start walking toward the karaoke place.

This was after being harassed by the Apocalypse activist old guy and having the creepy young guy blow up.

“This always happens when I go out with Friday. If it weren’t for Her Majesty’s orders, I would’ve died about ten times by now.”

When we were drinking soup at the ramen shop, or watching capybaras at the zoo, the fine folks of the Apocalypse Opposition Party attacked us just like this.

“There really are a lot of people who want the world to end.”… Read the rest

Her Majesty’s Command Volume 2 Chapter 1 part 3

I walk through the weekend’s busy district with “School Uniform Friday” in tow.

The arcade shopping street is lined with select shops and family restaurants.

“High school girl-ish things, huh… I’m a total guy, though.”

As I walk, wondering what to do, I suddenly realize that everyone’s gaze is fixed on Friday. It seems her high school style is quite the eye-catcher.

“Friday, you’re really shining in that uniform tonight.”

“I suppose so,”

Friday says, as expressionless as ever.

“Since it is Friday night. For the time being, I am in Friday Night Mode.”

I raise my voice to no … Read the rest

Lights, Camera, Action.

During the Cultural Festival preparation period, my youth began to move. I entered the classroom, took my seat, and exchanged “Good mornings” with Suzuhara-san, both of us blushing.

As days passed laughing together over trivial conversations, Suzuhara-san somehow felt closer.

When she retorted to my jokes, she would touch my arm with the back of her hand, and on the way home, walking together, our shoulders would almost touch. Then, we’d bump a little, become conscious of the height difference and the feeling of each other through our uniforms, and the atmosphere would get … Read the rest

Chapter 1: My Aoharu (Blue Spring)

TLNOTE : Youth/Adolesence = Seishun = 青春 = 青(ao) + 春(haru) = Blue Spring

Suzuhara Chinatsu. Tall height, long legs, long hair.

Every morning, she enters the classroom wearing earphones, listening to music. When the girls in class asked what she was listening to, she took off her earphones and answered with a refreshing smile.

“Just some random J-Pop.”

Her grades are average. During class, sometimes she listens seriously to the teacher, and other times she gazes at the clouds outside the window. When the teacher calls on her while she’s spacing … Read the rest

Her Majesty’s Command Volume 2 Prologue

Prologue

When I arrived at school for the first time in a while, the atmosphere in the class was absolutely giddy.

Everyone was laughing together like they were the best of friends, creating an atmosphere that screamed Youth!

An atmosphere that screamed Youth! meant, in other words, a refreshing vibe that could be used in a soft drink commercial.

“What’s going on here~?”

As I tilted my head in confusion, a girl nearby spoke up.

“It’s the Cultural Festival.”

“The Cultural Festival~!?”

“Yeah. While you weren’t really coming to school, Madarame-kun, … Read the rest

Her Majesty’s Command Volume 1 Afterword + Extra

Afterword

How was Her Majesty Fallen Angel for you?

While writing, I thought that Madarame and Her Majesty were like “ninkyō” (chivalrous yakuza). They’re like the gamblers of the Edo period who risked their lives to help the weak and be “iki” (elegant). They never did “bust” (unelegant) things like sucking up to authority.

Her Majesty was completely ninkyō. She didn’t want the Holy Grail that would have given her power from the beginning, and only thought about the girl who had lost her father. Isn’t that quite elegant?

And Madarame was influenced by her.

Her Majesty’s Command Volume 1 Epliogue

Epilogue

With the disappearance of the Holy Grail, all turmoil had subsided.

Simply put, peace had returned.

The director and other captains who had been collaborating with foreign powers were all taken into custody. Which foreign powers or countries they had been working with became classified information known only to the upper management. I didn’t particularly care to find out.

The Onmyo Bureau’s director position was taken over by the young Captain Shirakawa. With half the staff in custody, they faced a serious shortage of personnel, and she seemed busy every day.

Captain Shirakawa apparently wasn’t a typical modern boss. … Read the rest

“Your Majesty~, way too cool~!”

Just as I quipped, the rugged Bureau Director roared and forced himself upright. True to his rank, he could resist Her Majesty’s commands—if only slightly.

And in that brief window, he swung his blade—just as I had done to Vice-Captain Yanagishita—knocking the crown from Her Majesty’s head.

“Oh dear.”

What’s that, Your Majesty?

Her Majesty barely reacted before the captains sprang into action.

“Secure the Holy Grail!” The Bureau Director barked.

As he lunged for it, Her Majesty hooked his ankle with a cane.

A vein bulged … Read the rest

Her Majesty’s Command Volume 1 Chapter 4 part 5

The first thing I felt when I saw Vice Captain Yanagishita was terror.

Her form was horribly indistinct. At first, it looked like wings had sprouted from her back, the crowned Vice Captain taking on an angelic shape. But upon closer inspection, she resembled a white angelic statue—only for her silhouette to blur the next second, transforming into something like a black humanoid figure. And when I focused on that figure, I could somehow see the night sky through it.

In short—she was impossibly vague, without any fixed form.

One moment, she seemed enormous; the next, tiny.… Read the rest
